Yesterday’s Headlines: “Actress Lori Loughlin charged in a nationwide college admissions cheating scandal that involved paying up to $6 million dollars to place their children in elite universities.”
Have mercy. Cut.It.Out.
Then my phone blew up all day. So I’m setting the record straight:
- I did not play Aunt Becky in the late-80s sitcom, Full House.
- I’m Laurie Laughlin, with an “A”. Cheater-pants Lori is with an “O”.
- My children didn’t need to cheat to get accepted to college.
- My children have mountains of student-loan debt (in case you wanted to start a Go Fund Me.)
While I have your attention, my last name is pronounced LOFF-LIN. Not LAUGHlin, and not Locklin.
So Lori, Lori, Lori Loughlin, I hope this is just a big misunderstanding. But if not, to quote Kimmy Gibbler:
“I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing with you… Only you’re not joining in.”
